Reduces anxiety
This was recommended by my vet to be used in conjunction with another medication for my rescue dog with considerable separation anxiety and destructive behaviour. I have noticed a significant reduction in my dog's level of anxiety - and therefore my own level of anxiety at leaving her at home occasionally! I notice that when she misses her Zylkene, she is more anxious, even when still taking her other medication. I would definitely recommend Zylkene to others.

Works for us
We have quite an anxious Welsh Springer Spaniel. We had tried Adaptil, which worked for our previous dog, but not for Shadow. Our behaviorlist suggested this product and we have found that it seems to just take the edge of his general day to day anxieties. This has enabled us to work on his training more effectively. Big anxious things like vet visits etc still need to be handled with heavier medication but we certainly notice the difference on a day to day basis if we forget to give him his tablet.

My dog is a bit nervous and extremely scared of thunderstorms. My vet recommended Zylkene tablets. I give her a tablet before thunderstorms, and occasionally if she’s under stress. She is definitely calmer and coping well. Yes I would recommend.

I never leave reviews but, after our vet suggested we try this, I have been very impressed with the results (and Pacific Pet Supplies is the cheapest I have found it). We have a very timid and insecure border collie, made worse since she lost her companion dog. After just one day of starting her on Zylkene she casually sat herself down next to our cat, whom she is normally terrified of and avoids like the plague. I could hardly believe it! They will never be best friends but the fear element seems to be diminishing. Since then I am spotting slight changes in her behaviour and confidence, finding her doing things that she would normally be too anxious to do. I would definitely recommend giving Zylkene a go. I wish we had started our dog on it long ago.

This product certainly seems to help my 14 year old lab x - he has developed anxiety and insecurities in his old age, and we tried Zylkene after being recommended by the vet. His nervousness has reduced and he is now sleeping through the night again, and therefore so am I!
